A warm and friendly welcome awaits you all year round at the Mas de la Filoselle Bed & Breakfast establishment. It is situated in southern France at the crossroads of the beautiful Cévennes and Camargue holiday destinations.

The word “filoselle” originates from the Italian “filosello” which means cocoon. It refers to the silk floss that either fell out of cracks in the cocoons or bits and pieces after spinning. In the past the silk floss was used in the clothing industry to make gloves for example.

This Mas, a Provencal name given to farmhouses in southern France, is in fact a silkworm house which dates from 1713. Many generations of silk breeders have lived and worked here taking great care to preserve its natural charm and authenticity.
The Mas is set in one and a half hectares of private cultivated grounds.
